I had a lot of fun one day taking pictures from a recent trip to Disneyland and playing with them in Photoshop, sometimes doing some fun edits. This is one I got of Tom Sawyer's Island that I like the end result, it has that old time feel to it which I think is perfect for the island. Hope you enjoy it as well. {Click the photo to view larger}

Traveling to Walt Disney World!
WDW trip report. October 2011, first ever visit and 5th wedding anniversary.
Tuesday October 25th, 2011
Alarm went off at 4:45am this morning. Andy and I got ready and finished packing up the things we needed that morning. I double and triple checked that we had everything we needed, we said a quick goodbye to the cat and we were out the door. We headed over to Andy parents house where our car would stay during our trip and his dad was going to drop us off at the airport. I was really excited to be going and we soon loaded up the car and were on our way.
We decided to fly out of Burbank airport and that turned out to be a great decision. We got there right on time, 9am (2 hours prior to our flight) and headed for security. I was a little nervous about this cause Andy has never flown anywhere and I wanted this to be as easy as possible… and it was! It took a grand total of 2 minutes to get through, we took off our shoes and jackets and that was about it. So, we then had about 2 hours to wait but that was okay.
Our terminal at Burbank airport
Andy and I at the Burbank airport.
Very soon we were loading onto the plane, got in our seats and were on our way. Andy was really intrigued with flying, taking off was fun for him. Once we were in the air it was smooth sailing. We were on our way to Dallas/Ft. Worth for our layover.
On the plane!!
Our layover in Dallas was pretty quick so we just had enough time to get over to our next gate and use the restroom before we were on yet another plane and making our way to Orlando!!
We are in Texas!
Sunset view from the plane.
Um... That was supposed to be Orlando, haha.
I was Beyond excited when we landed at the airport! Right when we got to the main terminal and I saw the Disney store and the Harry Potter store I was like a kid! We found our way over to Magical Express, found the right line for our resort and got right on. There were very few people on the bus and POP was the second stop so it was a really easy trip.
Awesome store! We didn't shop though, we were going to the actual park after all.
Magical Express!! We are on our way!
We made it to the resort and heading in to check in. I enjoyed seeing the shadow boxes in the lobby and the pictures that are behind the reservation desk, it was awesome. We got a room in the 90’s building overlooking the laptop pool. I had heard some bad things about rooms by the pool but I decided I was not going to worry about it, we were not going to be in our room much anyway. At this point it was around 9:30pm and we were pretty hungry so we went to Everything POP to get some food. We had the dining plan for this trip (which turned out to be the BEST thing ever for us!) so Andy had a Beef and Blue sandwich with homemade chip, tye dye cheesecake and a soda. I had a turkey chabatta sandwich with homemade chips, tye dye cheesecake and water. It was SOOOO yummy and so much food! We walked around the store a bit and checked out the arcade, took the scenic walk back to our room and wondered if our luggage came yet.
POP Century lobby.
Our dinner from Everything POP. (Food is a big part of any travel adventure we go on.. You'll see lots of it in these trip reports.)
It was not there when we got there (it’s about 11pm by this time) but it came within 5 minutes of us getting back to our room. Awesome! I unpacked our things and got ready to get some sleep, or to try at least, I was not expecting much, LoL. We had an early morning ADR the next day at the Magic Kingdom so we called it a night.
Our room in the 90's building!
View from our room.
Icons around the resort. Super cool large structures that either house the stairs for the buildings or are a decorative icon that fits each decade in POP.

Intro Post!
So this is just a post to get things started and see how my blog looks.. I'm not really sure if I like using my own image as the background. It was taken at Epcot in October when Andy and I went on our anniversary trip. I'll keep it for now. I know some of the text might be a little hard to read but I plan on continuing to tweek the page to get something good.
So I decided to start a new blog that is dedicated just to my adventures with Disney. I hope to update this often as I go for some new experiences, mostly at Disneyland, and this is where I will be posting my trip report for Walt Disney World with images. This way is easier, I think, to share with people who want to read about and see what we got to experience and do on our adventures.
I warn you, my obsession with Disney is starting to hit an all new level, I feel kind of bad for Andy sometimes, haha. I really want to have a blog that people will read and find interesting, perhaps enjoy my images and spread the word.
How do I plan on having enough to talk about for a whole blog? Well, I should mention that I am getting an Annual Pass for Disneyland for Christmas! I hope to use this to take lots more trips to the parks and see things in ways I might not otherwise do when I only visit once (maybe twice) a year. I have quite a few ideas that I really hope work out and can share on here.
So.. Very soon (tonight I hope) I will be posting the first day of our October Disney World trip, the travel day and our first day on Disney property. Please feel free to leave lots of comments and let me know what you think, I really do like hearing from others especially when it comes to Disney.
